Manager of Clinical Innovation
Laura Skaret serves as manager of clinical innovation at CareQuest Innovation Partners. She started with the DentaQuest-CareQuest family in 2013, joining the newly formed Innovation team in 2019. Together with her team, she uses data-driven insights to identify key emerging products, technologies, services, and potentially disruptive business models that have the power to revolutionize oral health access and outcomes for underserved populations in the United States.
Laura has developed and serves as the principal investigator for three IRB-approved clinical studies. The most recent, the Early Lesion Management Observational study (ELMO), spans over 50,000 teeth in more than 19,000 people served in 32 clinics across four states. ELMO improves outcomes while decreasing invasive procedures by focusing dental teams on diagnosis of the first stage of tooth decay and accelerating the use of noninvasive treatments.
In her previous role at Safety Net Solutions, she provided dental practice management consulting to safety net dental clinics across the country. Laura has clinical experience as a dental receptionist, dental assistant, and registered dental hygienist. She earned a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene from the University of Bridgeport and is currently pursuing a master of business administration degree from Liberty University.
